Other resin courses just give you some videos & wish you luck.
I give you my undivided attention, real-time guidance & a direct line for all your questions; from your first pour to your finished piece.
Frequently Asked Questions
The Basics
-
Resin art uses epoxy resin, which is a two-part liquid that, once combined, hardens into a clear, durable, glass-like finish. It can be colored with pigments, embedded with flowers or other objects & poured into molds or onto surfaces to create everything from coasters to jewelry to clocks or large-scale paintings; the options are almost unlimited!
-
Absolutely! That's exactly what my Tier 1: Foundation Journey is catered towards. I start from the very beginning with detailed instruction into safety, materials, basic techniques, etc. & then continue to help build your confidence step by step until you have a fully completed piece.
-
Not at all! Resin art is part chemistry, part creativity, & all patience. If you can follow instructions & have a willingness to learn, you can absolutely create beautiful pieces. I'll handle the rest.
Safety & Materials
-
Yes, with proper precautions. Uncured resin can release fumes, so you'll need to work in a well-ventilated area & wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). I provide a detailed safety guide to all my students before we begin.
-
Once you book a package, you'll receive a comprehensive list with both "required" & "not required, but useful" items, including links to the products I personally recommend. (I am in no way affiliated with any product or brand that I recommend & do not get compensated through your purchases. These are simply the actual products & brands that I use myself every day)
-
Not all resins are created equal. I recommend specific brands that I've tested for clarity, UV inhibition (keeps your resin from turning yellow over time), curing reliability & ease of use. You're welcome to use others, but I can only guarantee results with the products that I know & trust.
Technical Questions
-
Just a device with camera and microphone (phone, tablet, or computer), a stable internet connection & your materials ready to go. (you’ll receive a comprehensive list prior to the first session) I recommend positioning your camera so I can see your workspace; it helps me give better feedback!
-
With your permission, yes! You'll receive a private link to the recording after each session so you can review everything we covered at any time. (There will be a section in your onboarding packet that allows you to opt in or out of this feature)
-
I'm based in the Midwest USA (Central Time). I'm happy to accommodate students in other time zones, however. My circadian rhythm is one of a ‘night owl’, so my coaching availability schedule is pretty accommodating. Just let me know your location during the discovery call & we'll find a time that works.
The Consultation Call
-
Even if you're ready to book, a 15-minute call ensures we're aligned on your goals before we begin & you'll go into our first session with clear direction & zero guesswork; & I'll have all the context that I need to make sure you’re getting the most out of every minute.
-
That's exactly what the consultation call is for. We'll discuss your vision, your experience level & what you're hoping to achieve. With that information, I can then guide you toward which package will be the perfect fit. That way, you can book with confidence, not uncertainty.
-
Yes, completely: & zero obligation. My goal is to help you find clarity, whether that means working together or simply pointing you in a different direction.
The Coaching Experience
-
Great question! YouTube can't see your workspace, answer your specific questions in real time, or help you troubleshoot when something goes wrong. I do. Think of it as an interactive tutorial where I’m available to catch mistakes before they happen & celebrate your wins along the way. Plus, tutorials don’t provide ongoing support!
-
That's what the WhatsApp support is for! You can send photos, ask quick questions & check in with me during the curing process. I’ll do my best to always respond within 24 hours
-
Life happens! Just provide at least 24 hours notice & we'll reschedule. With less notice, the session may be forfeited, so please keep me in the loop!
You're also welcome to schedule all of your sessions at once to secure your preferred dates & times, or you can book them one at a time as you go - Whatever works best for your schedule!
-
In my Tier 1 & Tier 2 packages, yes, you'll complete a finished piece by our final session. In Tier 3, the focus is on building your skills & business, but you also have more control over the content of the sessions, so we may or may not work on pieces over the course of it. It all depends on what you decide.
-
You'll receive a welcome email with:
A detailed list of must-have materials plus a curated list of optional but helpful tools
Your Pre-Session Preparation Guide: Instructions on how to set up your workspace, gather your materials, & what to have ready for our first call.
Simple Onboarding: A basic digital agreement to sign.
An invitation to your exclusive WhatsApp group. This is where you’ll share progress photos, ask quick questions, & get feedback from me between our live sessions.
A few days before our first session, I'll send a calendar reminder with your Zoom link.
-
Following every live session, you'll receive:
A private link to the video recording (with your permission)
A concise PDF summary of key techniques that we covered as well as any personalized recommendations or product links that we discussed during our call
Clear instructions for any "homework" (like letting a layer cure or sourcing materials)
A reminder that you can share progress photos or ask questions in our WhatsApp anytime
-
You'll receive a special Graduation Guide with long-term care instructions for your finished piece (if applicable), my best tips for continuing your resin journey independently & a discount code for future mentorships.
À La Carte & Add-Ons
-
Yes! If you find that you don’t quite need a full package, check out my a la carte options:
Flower Preservation Intensive: perfect if you want to just learn how to dry flowers in a way that keeps their shape intact & their colors vibrant
Rescue Call: perfect if you find yourself stuck mid-project & just need some insight!
Project Power Hour: perfect if you have an idea, but you’re not certain how to execute it. Or maybe you just need some inspiration. Or there’s a very specific technique you’d like to learn - this is a bit of an “anything goes” option.
-
Absolutely! Just book a Rescue Call (my troubleshooting intensive) & send me photos of your issue beforehand. We'll spend 45 minutes diving deep into your specific problem.
-
I may! I’m always open to feedback so please feel free to contact me if you there’s something you would like to see added to my offerings
-
Specialty color techniques (blooms, geode pours, petri swirls, dirty pours, etc)
Ocean wave-styles or cells
I DO, however, have extensive knowledge & experience with resin pigments & can advise you on which types (e.g., liquid dyes, mica powders, alcohol inks) are best suited for your desired effect & the proper methods for using them to ensure a successful, complete cure.
Results & Next Steps
-
First, we'll troubleshoot together during our sessions to prevent major issues so that by the time you demold your piece, we should have mitigated any serious problems. But resin can be unpredictable! If, during our final session, something needs adjusting, I'll do my best to guide you through fixes like sanding, flood coating, or even restarting certain elements. My goal is for you to leave proud of what you've created & equipped to do even better next time.
In the extremely rare instance that the issue is beyond the scope of what I’m able to help with during our final call, I would give you a discount code to book one additional Rescue Call to ensure your piece ends up exactly as you hoped.
-
That's the idea! By the end of our time together, you'll have the skills, confidence & troubleshooting know-how to continue creating on your own (with the option to book any additional sessions whenever you need me, of course!)
-
Absolutely! That's exactly what my Tier 3 package is designed for. We cover pricing, branding, photography, vendor events & more. Even if you start with a different package, I'm still happy to point you toward resources for selling.
